It all started in 2006 in Saint-Etienne, France, when three friends, fresh out of school, came up with the idea of making a music game. Allan, Romain and Paul, all self-taught in their respective fields, had been working on the idea for several years in their free time. Starting from scratch, they spent countless hours doing all the work required, including coding, graphic design, music, game design, animation, web design, and more. At the end of 2009, they finally finished the first version of Incredibox and released it online (secretly hoping to get extensive feedback from users).

A few weeks later, they won the prestigious FWA's first web award, a real honor for the team. Suddenly, Incredibox was attracting thousands of visitors from all over the world every day, many of whom emailed congratulations and encouragement to continue the project. By the end of 2010, the game had been played more than a million times. The team was surprised and excited by the wave of enthusiasm from the network and they began to think that their creation could get better.

Well, these three guys decided to take on the challenge! But first, they had to find a way to break even so they could devote a lot of time and energy to the project.

That's why in 2011 they founded So Far So Good, a French company specializing in web, graphic and sound design. The idea is to spend half of their time on creative projects for clients and the other half on Incredibox. Despite the very fast pace, it allowed the team to improve the project over the years and make it what it is today.

Since its inception, So Far So Good has often reached out to international brands interested in using custom versions of Incredibox to engage their listeners in the creative musical process. This has given the team a great asset to produce online advertising series for brands like LINX and M&M's.

More surprisingly, the app and website have been used by many teachers and schools around the world since 2016. The game is used as an educational tool that allows children to discover the basics of music composition.

Today, the game has been played by more than 60 million users. As long as Incredibox continues to be loved by its users, the team will continue to work with the same enthusiasm!

The game is divided into five categories: instruments, percussion, effects, voices and chorus. Animation bonuses are automatically displayed when the player keeps dragging and dropping symbols onto the character. By managing a combination of seven animated metronomes, remixes can be created within them.

The game is available in eight different Incredibox versions, each with its own unique style of thematic music.

Each icon is a unique a cappella sound loop that can be dragged and dropped from a series of hats, sunglasses, masks, headphones or other items that wear them while in use and allow them to sing rhythmically to each other (representing all versions of the music composer) to find the character.
