"Sonic Jump" is a vertical platform game based on the iOS platform released by Sega on October 18, 2012, adapted from its game of the same name on the mobile phone platform in early 2005.
This game is a remake of the 2005 Sonic game of the same name. The original game was developed by Sega Mobile for T-Mobile's Sidekick phone and has only 6 levels. Sega first revealed news about this new version of the Sonic Big Leap on October 5, 2012. The game was released on October 18, 2012, less than two weeks later.
This game has received generally positive reviews. Pocket Gamer gave it a score of 8/10 and praised it as "...difficult, entertaining vertical platform game, and its appropriate reference and style adjustments make it outstanding in similar games."
However, its 2005 original work received fewer positive reviews than this one. IGN only gave a score of 5/10 points, and said that the game was "not playable", "sluggish" and "control response is slow and sometimes inaccurate".
This game has been compared with Doodle Jump many times.

How To Play
Unlike the traditional Sonic the Hedgehog series of games that use horizontal running to pass levels, in "Sonic Jump", Sonic no longer runs, but jumps the pedal vertically. Players aim at Sonic by tilting the iOS device to the left or right. Sonic will jump automatically after falling on the pedal, and can make Sonic a "double jump" by tapping the screen. The gold rings collected in each level will be accumulated, and the accumulated gold rings can be used to purchase more game content, such as props or more game characters.
The game has two game modes; "Story Mode", where the level map and end point are preset; and "Arcade Mode", where the springboard is randomly generated and there is no end point, and the goal is to reach a higher height.
